AMPA Grenache 2022

My second wine from the legendary Nev Pfeiffer's block in the Barossa.

This dry grown fruit from Tanunda's sandy soil was hand picked earlier that the previous year and still shows its full character.

The fruit was cooled down and sealed in a stainless steel tank, half in whole bunches, where wild fermentantion and carbonic maceration played their magic.
The juice was kept at low temperature throughout the entire process, with very gentle pump overs and puch downs.

The wine was gently pressed. One portion was aged in old neutral French oak, while the rest remained in steel tank.

The result is bright and light body wine, plenty of aromatics with vibrant spice and tanins.
Luckily the earthy characters of this Grenache have not left me hanging.
